IMDM
Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's Medium (IMDM) is a modification of Dulbecco's MEM and was developed by Norman N. Iscove and Fritz Melchers to cultivate hematopoietic stem cells. Compared to Dulbecco's MEM, Iscove's MEM contains the buffer substance HEPES, selenium and additional amino acids and vitamins. Supplemented with albumin, transferrin and soybean lipids, it is ideally suited for cell cultivation of lymphocytes and bone marrow or hybridoma cells.
IMDM is a highly enriched synthetic cell culture medium that is well suited for rapid cell proliferation and high-density cell cultures.
