FBS Triple-Filtered
FBS Triple-Filtered is a fetal bovine serum (FBS) that has been sterile filtered (0.1 µm) using a membrane filter system (3x). The serum offers you maximum safety from potential contamination. Unwanted contamination by bacteria, moulds, viruses and mycoplasma are reliably removed by a series of membrane filters (the last 0.1 µm).

Filtration is a gentle method of sterilizing liquids. The membrane filters used consist of microscopically small pores in which particles of a certain size are retained when the liquid is passed through. This allows bacteria and molds, as well as viruses and microplasmas, to be removed. In order to achieve the highest quality and purity, FBS Triple Filtered was cleaned twice using a 0.2 µm membrane filter and then sterilized using a 0.1 µm membrane filter.
