Our vWF-Multimer Agarose (vWF = “von Willebrand” protein) is especially suitable for the separation of multimers due to its gelling temperature of > 40°C and its very low sulfate content (< 0.2% - 0.3 %).
Typical applications are investigations of:
von Willebrand's factor multimer separation
Factor VIII multimer separation
Counter-Immunoelectrophoresis (CIEP, Crossed-IEP)
Advantages:
Can also be prepared with standard Laemmli buffer
No need for toxic monomer solutions
Very high yields with sample recovery

Like all Bio&SELL agaroses, each batch of Bio&SELL vWF-Agarose undergoes strict quality control with respect to all relevant parameters such as gel strength, setting temperature, electroendosmosis values, sulfate content and water content. Each batch of Bio&SELL Agarose is free of RNases, DNases and enzyme inhibitors. The specific values of each batch are certified in the enclosed data sheet.
Preparation of a standard agarose gel: For 100 ml of a 1% agarose gel, 1 g of agarose is prepared in 100 ml of electrophoresis buffer. After dissolving the agarose by heating and a cooling phase, you can cast the gel.
