PCR troubleshooting and optimization made easy: the S-Solution
The S-Solution prevents the rapid re-annealing of template DNA with GC-rich regions. This allows the primers to anneal more precisely, and the PCR yields are larger and of higher quality. The background to this is the influence on the melting temperature of the DNA via a stereochemical bond of the S-Solution.
The same applies to complex secondary structures such as loops or long, frequent repeats.
Application
The S-Solution from Bio&SELL can also be used in cDNA synthesis (reverse transcription) or RT-PCR. Whether in first strand synthesis or primer-specific PCR. Whether in a ready mix or with single components. Simply add to the reaction without changing the other reaction conditions.
