Grace‘s TC Medium

Grace's TC is a commonly used cell culture medium for the cultivation of insect cells (including SF9 and SF21). It is also excellent for the cultivation of dipterans (dipterans) and lepidopterans (butterflies).

Grace's TC Medium contains no proteins, lipids or growth factors. For successful cell cultivation, we recommend supplementing the medium with fetal calf serum (FBS), yeast extract, lactalbumin or BSA. Grace's TC Medium uses a sodium bicarbonate buffer system and requires a CO2 atmosphere of 5 to 10 % to maintain physiological pH.
